Common Questions

CNC Woodworking FAQ

What's the largest piece you can cut?

48 inches by 48 inches in a single pass. Larger projects can be done in sections and joined. Tell us what you need and we'll work out the best approach.

What file format do I need?

Vector files (SVG, DXF) or CAD files work best. We also accept sketches, photos, or written descriptions — we'll prepare the CNC toolpath from whatever you provide.

Can you do production runs of wood parts?

Yes. Identical parts, consistent quality, volume pricing. Once the toolpath is set, we can run as many as you need.

What kind of wood do you work with?

Hardwoods (walnut, maple, cherry, oak), plywood, MDF, and softwoods (cedar, pine). We also route select plastics and sheet goods. We'll recommend the best material for your project.

How much does CNC woodworking cost?

It depends on the material, size, complexity, and quantity. Get a quote — we respond within 1 business day with a clear price.

Do you finish or stain the wood?

We can discuss finishing options. By default, we deliver sanded, unfinished pieces so you can finish them to your specification.
